day 9. Bath to London

on our last day on bath, we had a great breakfast.  Have I mentioned the breakfasts? Every hotel so far has had breakfast included with the room the best had been in Bergen, where we had a small room but great breakfast. The Hilton in Bath comes really close and may even be better. There was actual service and we were asked how we would like our eggs personally cooked. So the last morning we enjoyed our last breakfast at the Hilton, sigh.

Today before leaving Bath, We are going to have lunch with Mick and Serena, friends of Paul in a previous life but now mick works with Paul and is in England visiting his mother.

We are not too sure what we will be able to do as Serena has injured her knee very badly Nd may not be able to walk at all.  Shame but part of me is thinking NO STAIRS today.

When they arrive, we decide to go to the fashion museum which is not far. Serena is able to walk but just needs to avoid STAIRS.   The museum is very interesting and again we dress up in period costume, Georgian or something like that.    I have lost my photo but hopefully Paul has one somewhere.   There is a beautiful grand assembly room which is where the ladies and gentlemen of the day would congregate.

More rainy bath shots and we get on the train and go to London to see the queen, so to speak.

I think the rooftops of bath are amazing. The shops at the bottom look like shops everywhere but when you look at the skyline, you realise what an old city Bath is.
