Day 8. Rain in Bath

Finally today 19th, it is raining in bath. We have no umbrella, just 1 rain coat and 1 poncho.

I feel like it is my fault as I had made some stupid comment about how we weren't getting the real English experience of rain, just lots of unusual sun. The next day it rains.  But life goes on in Bath and they are all out doing what they do. Something about mad dogs and English men (persons).

We go to Jane Austen centre which is a few doors down from where Jane actually lived in bath.   There are very knowledgable guides and it is very interesting. More interesting is dressing up in the ugly clothes of the period. Ugh.

We did our washing finally in a laundry where the instructions are in English so that we felt pretty confident unlike previous traumatic laundry experiences.   Luckily there was a nice American couple who were able to help us.

We walked to the Pulteney bridge which was beautiful and historic.

 Raining above.

We had lunch today in a wine bar which was the tastiest/smallest/ oldest/ cutest in Bath.
